New Year's Eve in Frankenmuth

December 31, 2010 - January 1, 2011

Michigan's “Little Bavaria” is the perfect setting in which to bid raus mit dem alten (out with the old) to 2010 and willkommen (welcome) to 2011. Our early afternoon arrival in Frankenmuth will give us the opportunity to visit the city's wide array of interesting shops, and our home for the night will be the comfortable Bavarian Inn Lodge, a treasure in the heart of downtown Frankenmuth, nestled on the banks of the beautiful Cass River. A short walk will take us from the front door of our hotel over the covered wooden bridge and to the 100 shops on Main Street, Bronner's CHRISTmas Wonderland and to the River Place Shops. Our celebratory evening will begin with a sumptuous buffet dinner, featuring appetizers, prime rib, famous home-cooked Frankenmuth chicken and other delicious entrées, tasty side dishes, assorted delectable desserts, and wine. The festivities begin in earnest later in the evening with a live band offering dance music from the 1950s through the 1990s. We can kick up our heels or sit back and relax as we wait for The Big Moment to arrive, at which time we will raise a midnight toast to the strains of “Auld Lang Syne.” A hot soup buffet will be available to late-night revelers, and a tasty and complete hot breakfast buffet will await us on New Year's morning. Attendance at all events is at our leisure, with festivities and lodging taking place under one roof. The Bavarian Inn Lodge recommends that attire for New Year's Eve range from office casual to as dressy as you wish.
