We are in for a heapin' helpin' of pickin' and grinnin' during this pre-Christmas weekend tour in Renfro Valley , Kentucky 's Country Music Capital. Musical treats will include toe-tapping bluegrass music, melodic gospel performances and soulful country tunes as well as a healthy dose of rock-a-billy and swing music. Renfro Valley will keep us stepping lively, even as we shop and explore Berea , just down the road a piece. Berea , the Folk Arts and Crafts Capital of Kentucky, is a graceful blend of southern hospitality and Appalachian tradition and is home to more than 50 craftpersons and artists. The “down-home” feeling of our tour extends to a tasty stick-to-your-ribs Boarding House Dinner—an absolute must for Renfro Valley visitors, as well our tour of the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame. Our weekend tour includes a surprise concert on Friday night, a “Mountain Gospel Jubilee” on Saturday afternoon and a performance of “Christmas in the Valley” on Saturday night. Sunday morning will find us at “The Gatherin'”, a celebration of life through song that has been a weekly feature of Renfro Valley for 65 years.
